  • Almond butter, pomegranate seeds and cacao nibsโ€”such a mind blowing combo! Perfect when mixed together as a snack or topped on DF yogurt for breakfast! #feelinggood #breakfast #glutenfree ๐Ÿ“ธ @eatlovewithlove
  • Broccoli all dayyy! You might know that broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and kale are in the cruciferous veggie fam. That means they contain sulfur compounds that are essential for optimal detoxification and a process called methylation. Methylation is especially important for reducing risk of depression, stroke and cancer. Thats one of the many reasons that you may benefit from aiming for 2 cups of cruciferous veggies daily. What are your favorite ways to eat these types of veggies?! #functionalnutrition #methylation #detox
  • The health of your entire body stems from the biodiversity in your gut (aka good gut health). When you improve your gut health you'll likely notice improvements in asthma, allergies, inflammatory bowel disease, weight, blood sugar levels, hypothyroidism, IBS, GERD, cognitive function, and energy levels. It's so powerful! You have the ability to create a healthy gut environment by sitting less, getting outside in nature, eating more plant based foods, sleeping, spending less time on your phone, relaxing, playing, laughing and meditating! All the essentials! Happy Monday!
  • The top 5 nutrition pillars that I use in my practice and for the @healthyselfreset are: have fun, eat whole foods (local whenever possible), add lots of color, avoid calorie counting, and eat 5 cups of veggies daily. Beyond that most things will vary from person to person based on your genes, microbiome and environment. Figure out how to incorporate these pillars into your own life and create a strong nutrition foundation with our free 28 day program starting Jan 15th! Link is in my bio. I can promise you one thing--we're going to have a lot of fun! ๐Ÿ“ธ @eatlovewithlove #healthyselfreset #functionalnutrition
  • Threw together this quick dinner tonight! Kale salad with cauliflower rice, broccoli sprouts, avocado, red onion, and poached chicken. Topped with Cindys Kitchen Barcelona Vinaigrette which I love Bc there's no added sugar and no vegetable oils (a rare combo for dressing)! Life is BUSY right now but in the best way possible! I photographed recipes for the @healthyselfreset all afternoon and will be working on edits tonight. I can't wait to share new recipes & content with you to kick up your health in 2018!! #quickneasy #dinnerinspo #nutritiononpoint
  • Count color instead of calories! ๐Ÿ“ธ @deannaminich #functionalnutrition #rainbowdiet #phytonutrients
  • Heyyy 2018! My new blog post reflects on highs and lows of 2017 and a new focus for 2018. Some of my biggest accomplishments this year: developing a relationship with weights & resistance training and doing wayyy less cardio ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช, learning to live by myself, starting a business, and quitting my job. My goals for 2018 look very different than usual. I'm planning to spend more time doing nothing, being bored, cleaning, starting to scrapbook (something that I loved when I was younger), and listening intently. I'm still committed to this amazing functional nutrition revolution but in a more balanced way! Go to Beingbrigid.com to read more in my most personal blog post to date! Happy 2018!!!
